THE AMPLIFIED ELEPHANTS
A day program of creative activities. 8–10 places; for adults (18+ years old). You can enrol at any time during the year if places are available.
A leading and award-winning Australian sound art ensemble, many of The Amplified Elephants’ concerts and projects have been presented internationally and in prominent Australian venues. Since 2007, these projects have been increasingly ambitious in scale, often featuring sonic technology.
The ensemble has performed alongside some of the world’s most remarkable professional artists, released albums and is mentored by JOLT director James Hullick.
The Amplified Elephants:
– develop and perform work
– perform in leading Australian and international venues
– tour locally and internationally
– collaborate with leading musicians and artists
– release albums
– promote the ensemble through social media
– perform with accessible technologies and sound machines
The ensemble prepares for their performances through the workshop program. Extra rehearsals and performances take place in addition to workshop hours. To join the ensemble, you must audition, or be in some other JOLT workshop, and be prepared to commit to performing and rehearsing outside workshop hours.
This program is for adults: 18 years or older.
