What is JOLTED Arts Space and JOLT Arts?
JOLT Arts is a registered charitable organisation for supporting sonic and visual arts creation and presentation.
JOLTED Arts Space is the building where JOLT Arts has its headquarters and facilities: 342 High St Northcote. Kindred Studios is our workshop space in the west of Melbourne.
JOLTED Arts Space presents the projects of JOLT’s in-house artists and other events by other industry artists or other organisations. JOLTED Arts Space hosts 20-30 events p/year.
JOLT Arts is an arts production house. In-house JOLT artists create shows, exhibitions, arts objects and events, and participate in career development workshop programs. Sometimes guest artists (not on our books) are invited to work with our in-house artists.
Since it’s founding, JOLT has supported people with disabilities throughout our activities.
Artists in Australia find it very difficult to access artist management companies that will support their careers. JOLT offers this support in the unique fields of contemporary music and art within the frame work of being a production company: an organisation that makes in-house productions.
JOLT Arts has thrived over many years from remarkable funding provided by arts funders – acknowledged below – but also through the generous support of some key individuals and companies:
+ AMANDA HULLICK & ALEX MAYFIELD
+ LES & MINCI BOELCKEY
+ JULIAN BURNSIDE
+ CROWN COACHES
We thank these individuals for their crucial support and guidance over the years.
NDIS Services
As part of our community engagement practices, JOLT offers a Day Program that supports people living with and/or identifying disabilities.
