BOLT BRASS
The BOLT Brass Trio will be performing a series of short brass trios – Pyramids (2014) – and a second piece – First We Take Out The Eyes (2026) composed by James Hullick. First performances of work composed by JH exploring the sonic ranges of brass instruments from the perspective of Australian suburban life.

THE AMPLIFIED ELEPHANTS
MYSTERIOSO BLUE ADAGIO is a sonic articulation of The Amplified Elephants response to a photo of the Earth taken from the Moon. The Earth is transformed by this photo into a slow moving orbital body – an adagio across the moonscape. This is a breathtaking production featuring electronic sound performed by The Amplified Elephants.
SONIC FLOCK
Presented in the JOLTED Courtyard as a gathering – or flock – of black teepees, each tent big enough for just two people. Within each, a brief work of sonic performance unfolds, a work solely for you – the only other person in the room. Sonic Flock is a collective work that celebrates the fluid creativity of communities.
The Sonic Flock is an experiential aural exhibit with a decidedly intimate twist – a free-form, immersive sonic art action with a rotating roster of dynamic local and international performers. Aside from the tepee design, the work also consists of a set of instructions, which are then expressed by improvising artists.
