Sarah Smith is a young feminist from the Geelong region. She is currently studying a postgraduate degree in Psychology, conducting research into attitudes towards menstruation. Her studies and her creative works have been highly influenced by an intersectional feminist perspective. This perspective endorses the concept that oppressive institutions, such as racism, sexism and homophobia, are all inter-connected, and that being affected by one or more of these institutions of bigotry will shape what concerns and challenges a person may face as a result. Through Sarah’s artistic vision, she hopes to promote equality, by challenging the status quo and sharing her unique feminine perspective.
